If the last wave was just sent by the timer running out, the next wave should be unsendable for a second or 2. Quite often I give up on getting the extra 1 - 2 points for sending the next wave fearing that I will send 2 at once. This change should not be applied to waves which were manually sent so it's still possible to send multiple waves at once when you want to.

Edit: Another suggestion: Remove the start timer and give an unlimited amount of time to start the game.

Not a bad idea...

the problem with removing the start timer is that people might start the game and then walk away for 2 hours... I needed to force the game to start (and end).

I am thinking though might increase the time to 1 minute to give nwe players more time to learn the interface.

People can pause the game forever so infinite start time won't really delay anything.

I will be making it so you can't pause forever soon too. Haven't decided how long yet though. Maybe 10 minutes max. There is a guy as we speak that has been in his game for over 3 hours already.... just sitting there paused :S

That tournament can't end until he finishes his game....

If you do add a pause time limit, please put a timer in the pause window.

As you know the state of the game - can't you save it? so when the pause timer finishes it saves - and they can go back to it. - Understand this would take some coding - but surely not a great deal more than the replay currently does?

Also understand this doesn't help your endless tournament situation - maybe limit saves to 4 hours or something.

I could save the state of the game.... but then like you mentioned, how long can they save it for?

Realistically... with the exception of the some of the custom maps that have been made, most games shoudn't last more than 20 minutes...

I'd hate to see a tournament sit there for 4 hours waiting for someone to finish the last 8 minutes of their game.

I just like to mention that i finished my game, even though it took some time, whereas two others didnīt - so letīs blame them :-P
(+ as i said in the tournament-trash-talk-suggestion-fast-forward-ftw) ;)

Besides - Iīd also like to see the start-timer-value increased as im usually playing on a laptop with broken left-touchpad-button. Means, i always have to double-tap the touchpad to issue one click - take hell of a time if you see some 20sec running down. ;)

Putting a visible countdown timer on the start time isn't a bad idea either. Maybe you get a longer start period on easy games and a shorter one on hard ones? Maybe you should also get less pause time on harder games?

If you read my post you wouldn't have posted that :/
