It is a great honour to have on of your maps becoming an official map, but is there a reward for it, except the credit you get for making the map?
Because if it's really good, you can make a lot of GP hosting it to friends, and you make no GP when it's official :)

It wouldn't have to be a big reward, like 1 GP for everyone that plays it once it turns official, but it would encourage people to put in that extra effort to make a great map :)

I haven't come up with anything yet. 1 GP per play might add up quick... the map might get played over 1000 times a week.

Maybe some percentage of the amount of players that played the map?
Like, 1%? If 1000 people play it (which is quite a lot), you get 10 GP. Not much, but still a lot for not doing anything.

Every time the system randomly picks a map that someone made and that has gone official, it awards them a static number of Geek Points. Not too large of a number, but it will be free. Probably somewhere around 1% of the amount the map originally cost, considering that they had to pay that out of pocket in the beginning anyways.

I dunno, think people need some incentive to make good maps.
Otherwise they just make standard maps and give em a exciting name so people try em, and rack in GP in that way. You want people to get creative, so reward em for it :)

There will be rewards for good creative maps. Just not sure what yet. :)
